Abhyuday Sansthan is managed by a nine-member Board of Management. These are highly enlightened people from various walks of life with rich experience in their respective fields.
Mamta Pandey
Secretary
Mamta Pandey is a veteran social worker with a work experience of over 25 years in programme implementation and NGO management. She holds degree of MA in Sociology and PGDRD from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. She founded Abhyuday in 1997. She has effectively implemented 24 social development projects in five states. She is full time active in day-to-day affairs of the organisation. She has been honoured by the Governments of Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh and the Hon’ble Governor of Uttar Pradesh for her outstanding contribution to social work.
Anand Kumar Rai
Treasurer
Anand is associated with Abhyuday since its inception and holds the position of treasurer. He holds a degree of MSc in Mathematics from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. He has 23 years of proven experience of social work and dealing with management issues of Abhyuday. He is also fulltime involved in planning, implementation, and monitoring of the organisation’s affairs. He is an eminent businessman and known for his charitable activities. He has supported free-of-cost eye care camps and cataract operations of more than 2,500 patients in Easter Uttar Pradesh.
Asha Singh
Vice-president
Asha Singh is associated with Abhyuday since 1997. She is a committed businesswoman associated with Navya Enterprises and dedicated social worker from Varanasi. She is MBA pass out in 1995 from Allahabad University in HR stream. She is well versed in communications, analysis, leadership, and event management.
S. Balbir
Executive Director
Balbir is a senior grassroots development professional with 26 years of experience of social development. He holds master’s degree in social studies from Bundelkhand University and PGD in human rights from Indian Institute of Human Rights, New Delhi, in 2000. He is effectively contributing to programme management and organisation’s development through resource generation and its management in close coordination with board members. In 2004, he started career with research and studies on bonded labourers of Bundelkhand region and giving freelance services to various grassroot organisations. Soon after, he got associated fulltime with Abhyuday and is its Executive Director now.
